From the Madison Public Library The Madison Public Library offers a wide variety of programs and services to the Madison community. The Friends of the Madison Library provide financial support for many of these wonderful programs, fully funding both the Museum Pass program which runs all year long, and the annual Summer Reading program, which is about to begin. The Madison Public Library’s Museum Pass program provides free admission to 17 local and regional institutions from the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts and the Morris Museum to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. This program makes cultural, educational, and historical experiences accessible to all Madison residents and is funded by the Friends of the Madison Public Library. Madison Public Library’s Summer Reading Program aims to hinder the dreaded summer slide, also known as summer learning loss, by encouraging participants to read at least 15 minutes a day. In return, participants have the opportunity to earn rewards all summer as they fill out their reading logs. In addition to the reading program, the library will offer a jam-packed events calendar full of interactive and educational programs for all ages, including, but not limited to, a magic show, a live animal show, and a bubble show!
